What I Believe...

'Aglow...' by Noel Knower.
To be Inspired is to be In-spirit. This state creates movement just as a spark catches and its flames are fanned. When you take an idea, a thought and manifest an act of beauty from it you are working with the power of inspiration. This act of power may be writing a book or a poem, painting a landscape, canning peach preserves or baking a pie, arranging wildflowers in a canning jar or cooking dinner for your family. When you act upon your inspiration you create a flow of energy that in turn touches people and the environment around you. Thus you become a source of inspiration for others a conduit of love.

One day I was sitting in my bedroom and my eyes swept over the room; colored bottles on the window sills, a hand embroidered runner on the dresser, a necklace dangling from the edge of the mirror, a personal journal. All of these things that I surround myself with are memories of women from my life, past and present. Women that meant the world to me, that were my teachers, my friends and my family. Women that I knew and others I never met. I consider these objects gifts of spirit, treasures that hold a hidden soul to be held in my heart. It enables me to 'hold hands' with these special women, to feel their energy, to experience beauty through their eyes and to keep the flow moving by sharing the process of inspiration.

Women are ever adaptable, creative, curious, strong and nurturing, determined and capable of holding and creating beauty.
My wish here is to celebrate their contributions and inspirations; to share with you little gleanings of women who did the best they could with what they had and who held nature and the world with awe and respect; who cherished and protected their families; who created beauty with words, paint, thread and wool, and more; amazing, vibrant women who truly lived In-spirit; and to share my own expressions of light upon my 'in-spirited' journey.

There is truth and beauty in every action that is based on LOVE...may you find inspiration and motivation in the beauty that surrounds you.

Bright Blessings,
Noel
